Best mechanic in Raleigh, by a long shot. Z is extremely knowledgeable and can figure out anything that is going on. He is very honest and fair about his pricing. He tells you exactly what needs to be done, and how much it will cost, and does not try and talk you into anything you don’t actually need. I can’t recommend Z enough. Right after moving to Raleigh my AC died and I wasn’t able to locate the problem. Z Mech is the best auto shop for your used European chariot. I have been faithfully taking my old bmw to Z for repairs and maintenance for about two years. They are very truthful in the repairs you need and will not try to up sell you or make you pay for unneeded parts or service. They are also highly skilled in repair. They have the latest scanners and equipment. I highly recommend Z Mech for your mechanic needs.

Z really went above and beyond with my car. I brought it in with a laundry list of things due to the age of the car. He listened and saw that I really wanted to get it back to road worthiness the right way. Upon fixing some of the items, other issues were unearthed, which was expected on a car from the 80s. He was diligent and kept me informed along the way. Great service and you can tell he takes pride in his work. These guys are really car enthusiasts.

Z-Mech was incredibly helpful & kind. I was having battery issues, on a vehicle they typically do not service, but he helped anyway. For that, I was grateful and will 1000% recommend!

So thankful to have Z and his awesome team in our community! They do awesome work, and they are affordable. I highly recommend them for your European auto repair.

I’d give more than five stars if possible. These guys are a fantastic group. My car was driving like new after leaving. They dealt with a shipping snag and got my part even though it was hard to find. Z even showed me the part he replaced to show me what was wrong. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust these days and these guys deserve your business. Also shout out to Andrew (I think) that guy was awesome. Will be going back!
